Afghanistan To Provide Security For Investors: President Ghani

Kabul (BNA) President Dr. Mohammad Ashraf Ghani in meeting with the Premier of the People’s Republic of China, Li Keqiang in Beijing the other day said that his government is ready to provide security for foreign investors.
The president also said that China is short-term, medium-term and long-term strategic partner of Afghanistan. Expressing gratitude to China for its contribution to Afghanistan over the past 13 years, and newly pledge of 2 billion Yuan, the president requested China to spend the new assistance in building infrastructures such as railway, highway, dams and constructions. Appreciating China for allocating worth $20 billion in south Asia, the president added that the contribution would pave the way for cooperation between Afghanistan and Pakistan as well as India, China and Afghanistan. For his part, Premier Li Keqiang said that his country is ready to help Afghanistan in the field of rule of law, reconstruction and restoring peace. Premier Li also added that security is the basis for cooperation between the two countries, adding his country would soon send an expert working group to Afghanistan to work on the details proposed by Afghanistan. The premier also promised to encourage Chinese businessmen to invest in Afghanistan.
