Retaining Wall Constructed in Nangarhar

Jalalabad (BNA) With construction of retaining wall in Nangarhar province, hundreds acres of agricultural land and dozens of houses were saved from flood damages.
The wall at length of 175 meters was built in Kozkunar District, where the river water has been destroying farms and homes for many years.
Ismael Shinwari governor for Kozkunar District, Nangarhar province told BNA, the retaining wall has been constructed by the national citizenship program of rural rehabilitation and development ministry at the cost of 1,100,000 Afghanis.
Hundreds acres of farmland and dozens of homes saved from possible flooding by building this wall.
Villagers happy that their farms and homes were saved from years of flood danger.
