Atif Mashal Introduced As New ACB Chairman

Kabul (BNA) Ministry of Finance, Eklil Hakimi, participated in introduction ceremony of new Cricket Board director and appreciation ACB’s ex-director achievement, a ministry statement said. 
The ceremony of introducing Shukrullah Atif Mashal as the new Afghanistan Cricket Board chairman was attended by a number of officials, Fazel Hadi Muslimyar, Upper House chairman, Sayed Sadat Mansoor Naderi Ministry of Urban Development, Hekmat Khalil Karzai, Deputy Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ahmad Shah Sangdil ACB member, MP and other Cricket Board members, the statement added. Minister Hakimi addressing the ceremony said that there were three eligible candidates for this post were introduced to the President and Cricket Board selected Atif Mashal as the new Cricket Board chairman through a transparent process. “As the leading member of Cricket Board Committee, I congratulate the new responsibility for Mr. Mashal and wish him to receive the aids and change this board into a source of income.” The minister added, praising Nasimullah Danish, ex-chairman of the board and other individuals involved for their hardworking and leading of this stage, the ministry statement continued. According to Minister Hakimi, Afghanistan has got a lot of achievements in cricket board like defeating West Indies in World Cup, adding Danish could raise the cricket board budget and attracted private sponsors to the team. “Cricket and other sports are in developing mood and I can assure Afghan youth that the government supports all kinds of sports and provide required facilities for them,” the Ministry added as quoted in the statement.
