100 Taliban Rebels Killed, 89 Wounded During Mopping-Up Operations: MoD Claim

Kabul (BNA) Up to 100 militants were killed and 89 others were wounded during clearing operations led by Afghan security forces across the country in the past 24 hours.
According to information of Ministry of Defense  (MoD) press office to BNA, the operations were conducted with support of Afghan air and artillery forces to suppress terrorist groups in insecure areas of Nangarhar, Ghazni, Paktia, Paktika, Kandahar, Urozgan, Daykundi, Farah, Badghis, Takhar, Baghlan, Kunduz, Sar-e-Pul, Jawzjan, Balkh and Helmand provinces.
The militants sustained heavy casualties in Domana district of eastern Paktika province during a mopping-up operation, 47 insurgents were killed.
Some heavy and light weapons, ammunitions, war equipment and military mobilizations have been seized during the operations as well.
Also 15 Afghan National Army soldiers were martyred during the mentioned operations, MoD press office concluded.
