25 Armed Insurgents Killed In Recent Battles

Kabul (BNA) At least 25 armed insurgents were killed and dozen others were wounded during the recent clashes with Afghan security forces in Faryab and Sar-e-Pul provinces.
A commander of national army in Sar-e-Pul province told BNA, the clash took place while armed rebels attacked on military convoys of Kohistant district of Sar-e-Pul in which 20 armed insurgents were killed and a number of them were wounded last night.
Also security forces of the province succeeded to prevent a series of explosions, with the cooperation of the resident of the province at least 8 mines discovered and defused.
A commander of national army in Faryab province told BNA, Afghan security forces conducted operation on armed insurgents’ hideouts in Almar district of Faryab province, after an hour clash 5 armed rebels were killed and 3 others were wounded.
According to another report, Taliban’s weapons hideout discovered in Qaisar district of Faryab province last night.
Police of Faryab says several weapons, explosive devises and military uniforms were discovered from the hideouts.
No one has been detained in the connection of the hideout keeping.
