Art Exhibition Opened To Commemorate 97th independence Day

Kabul (BNA) An art exhibition opened here on Wednesday with initiative of the Art Directorate of the Ministry of Information and Culture to commemorate the 97th independence day of Afghanistan, BNA reported.
Hinting to Art’s crucial role in reflecting of the facts and hardships within the society, the deputy minister on admin, finance and tourism Zardasht Shams thanked the artists and officials of the Art Directorate for their efforts in holding of the exhibition.  Zardasht Shams went on as saying that Independence achieved with sacrifices of our ancestors, adding that now the country’s brave sons also giving sacrifices to defend the territorial integrity and safeguard such achievements.
Speaking in the gathering, Mohammad Hashim Shariq director of the Art Directorate said that the exhibition includes 150 paintings, drawings, miniature, calligraphy, handicrafts, sewing, graphics and children art which were done by the students and the teachers of Ghulam Mohammad Maimanagi training center of the directorate.
The Art Director also hinted on problem and challenges, asking the officials of the Ministry of Information and Culture to pay necessary attention to their problems.
Meanwhile Najibullah Manali, cultural in charge for the National Security Council office and Shamsulhaq Aryanfar head of the government dailies applauded the Art directorate’s initiative, calling independence among Allah’s great blessings and safeguarding of which as human’s responsibility.
Dr. Kamal Sadat, Acting Minister of Information and Culture and Deputy Minister on Youth Affairs also paid visit to the exhibition and thanked the efforts of the directorate’s artists. He said that despite challenges and lack of equipment, still the country’s artists painting extraordinary works which is a matter of proud to all of us.
