Atmar In Russia To Discuss ANSF Military Needs

Kabul (BNA) The National Security Adviser, Mohammad Hanif Atmar left the country for Russia at an official invitation by his Russian counterpart, Nikolai Patrushev to discuss mutual cooperation between Kabul and Moscow, Bakhtar News Agency (BNA) reported yesterday.
According to the BNA, Atmar will also discuss the arrangement for delivery of Mi-35 and Mi-17 choppers as well as facilities by Russia for the repairing of the Russian-made ground and air forces equipments which are currently being used by the Afghan security forces.   Likewise, both sides will hold talks on bolstering of ties between the two countries as well, the report added.
The government of Afghanistan is committed to fight terrorism menace and uproot narcotic’s cultivation and traffic, and the Russia and other international partners’ assistances can help the ANSF to be further strengthened in this regard, the report continued.  Atmar is accompanied by some high-ranking government officials, including Deputy Foreign Minister on Political Affairs, Hekmat Khalil Karzai, the report concluded.
