Jalalabad City (BNA) A kidnapped Australian woman has been released following a special operation led by National Directorate Security (NDS) personnel in eastern Nangarhar province.
The foreign aid worker at least four months ago was abducted by a gang of kidnappers in Nangarhar.
Kerry Wilson was doing work in a charity foundation in Afghanistan.
Ataullah Khogyani spokesman of Nangarhar governor said BNA reporter, the Australian aid worker had been freed during a special operation conducted by NDS personnel in the province.
Several people were arrested accused of the abduction case, Khogyani added.
Khogyani further added that the health condition of Wilson is well.
It has been said, kidnappers were demanded a ransom for releasing of the Australian woman.
