Car Bomb Targets District Police Chief in S. Afghanistan

KANDAHAR CITY (BNA) A vehicle packed with explosive material blown-up close to Daman district police chief in southern Kandahar province today.

Jamal Nasir spokesman of Kandahar police told BNA reporter, 11 Afghan national police personnel were injured following the blast.

Meanwhile, eyewitnesses say the blast have caused casualties to civilians and Afghan security forces.

No individual or group has commented regarding the incident so far, but local officials claimed that Taliban group is responsible for the car bombing.

Doctors in hospitals called critical the health conditions of six injured of the event.
