Chief Justice Praises S. Arabia Role For Ensuring Peace

Kabul (BNA) Chief Justice Prof Abdul Salam Azimi had a meeting with Saudi Arabia ambassador to Kabul Masfar Abdurahman Alghaseb yesterday and the Saudi Arabia envoy congratulated holding of successful presidential election and vast participation of people in this important national issue and called it a good sign of democracy.
According to information and   publication department of supreme court to BNA, later on chief justice talked on historical background of Afghanistan and Saudi Arabia relations, praised role of that country in efforts for ensuring peace and stability in Afghanistan added that as the cradle of Islam, Saudi Arabia is rich of valuable and academic jurisprudence and the Afghan judicial system hopes that the Afghan judges travel to that country in the framework of that country’s judicial cooperation’s and get valuable and useful information about that country’s legal system and know-how of legal and judicial activities.
The ambassador of Saudi Arabia said that his adopted country has profound historical relations’ with Afghanistan as an Islamic and brother country and has always made efforts towards restoration of peace and stability in this country.
The government of Saudi Arabia attaches particular importance to Afghanistan political system and has always respected presence of Afghanistan authorities including judicial officials in Islamic conferences in Saudi Arabia and is determined to expand and develop economic, political and cultural cooperation’s. And no doubt judicial cooperation is also taken into account in these relations’ and I as Saudi ambassador will follow developments through diplomatic channels.
