COVID-19: 290 New Cases Reported in Afghanistan, Total Deaths 1,712

Kabul (BNA) Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) reported 290 new positive cases of COVID-19 from 1,428 samples tested in Afghanistan within the last 24 hours.

According to BNA report, 17 patients have died due to coronavirus, while 146 others have recovered within the last 24 hours in the country.

With this, the total cases are now 45,278, the total reported deaths are 1,712 and total recoveries are 36,122 in Afghanistan.

Officials in Ministry of Public Health reported that 7,444 active cases of COVID-19 among patients at under their care as Tuesday morning in Afghanistan and 93 patients are in critical conditions.

It is mentionable that until now 141,863 samples of coronavirus has been tested in laboratories of the ministry across the country, the officials added.

COVID-19 global toll has increased to 59,219,229 and the deaths are reported to more than 1,397,176 according to John Hopkins’ global dashboard.
