Dr. Abdullah Asks OIC To Discuss Afghan Security, Stability In Upcoming Conference

Kabul (BNA) Chief Executive, Dr. Abdullah Abdullah met with Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Countries – OIC here at Sapidar Palace yesterday, a statement from CE office said.
According to the statement, both sides discussed and hinted on crucial role of the upcoming Islamic Scholar’s conference in bringing durable peace to Afghanistan. The conference is expected to be held in coming October and would be hosted by the Saudi Arabia with participation of the elite scholars from the Islamic countries.
Praising the OIC secretary general for his efforts in organizing the conference, the chief executive expected the conference to discuss the ongoing militancy and enemies’ inhuman crimes in Afghanistan based on the Islamic teachings, adding that holding of such conference is not only important for Afghanistan, but for the whole region.
Meanwhile the OIC secretary general said that the Afghan insecurity and the militant’s inhuman acts which are against the Afghan nation would be discussed, adding that the conference will leave positive impact on peace and stability across the region, in particular on Afghanistan.
