Efforts Underway To Help Flood Affected People: Khalili

Kabul (BNA) Second vice president Mohammad Karim Khalili and head of national committee on natural disaster who visited the flood affected provinces of Jauzjan, Sar-e-Pul and Faryab Sunday said that no efforts will be spared to assist the affected people.
In addition to expressing sympathy with the affected families, Khalili who is accompanied by among others the ministers for agriculture and public health during visit to Khwaja Sabzposh district of Faryab province held meeting with the affected families and expressed sympathy with those families who had lost their nears and dears in the flash flood.
Reminding president Karzai order on early support to the affected families, Khalili noted that the administration will spare no efforts in providing humanitarian assistance to the flood affected people and has all readiness in this regard.
By providing 10 million Afghanis to the local authorities to help those people who lost their houses in the flood, Khalili said that the government would give residential plot to any one whose house was destroyed in the flooding. The delegation had also supported the proposals of the local authorities for shifting the affected people to safe places. The delegation returned to Kabul on Sunday night.
