Eleven Armed Rebels Kill

Kabul (BNA) A source of national defense ministry said that 11 armed rebels were killed in a series of clearing operations conducted by national army troops in different parts of the country.
The operations aiming better peace and security during elections process and clearing of areas from presence of armed rebels conducted in outskirts of Ghazni, Zabul, Kandahar and Farah provinces.
National defense ministry press office stated BNA, during the operations, 11 armed rebels killed, 10 wounded and 5 others were arrested.
Quantity of heavy and light weapons was seized.
According to another report, 530 kg of explosives and 294 anti-vehicle mines which were recently planted by armed insurgents in different parts of the country, discovered and defused by national army forces.
