Floods Inflect Damages In Faryab

Maimana (BNA) Heavy flood in surrounding areas of Faryab province caused human losses and financial damages during the last two days.
Abdul Kabir Qaderi governor of Pashtoonkot district, Faryab province said BNA, heavy flood caused killing of six people including a woman and destruction of more than 100 houses and hundreds of agricultural lands in the district.
Abdula Masoomi governor of Khwaja Sabzposh district said BNA, about 700 acres of land, 200 acres of fruit gardens, 300 residential houses, 10 mills; approximately 40 meters of roads, 40 wells, 50 meter canals, and dams have been destroyed in the flood.
According to him, 1200 cattle were also perished in heavy flood in the district.
Another report says that 23 people were lost their lives in flash flood in Shireentagab district, Faryab province.
Syeed Loqman Gohar governor of Shireentagab district said BNA, 23 people including 14 children, 3 women and 6 men were lost their lives, 30 villages have been destroyed in the flood.
