FM Rabbani Praises Chinese Assistance To Afghanistan

Kabul (BNA) Minister of Foreign Affairs, Salahuddin Rabbani met with Yao Jing, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Kabul here in his office yesterday, a MoFA statement said.
At the outset, Ambassador Yao Jing discussed the ongoing cooperation of his country with Afghanistan in different spheres, including construction of low-cost residential housing project in Kabul, training programs for pilots, doctors, and experts of agriculture, mining, disaster management and counter terrorism. He also announced start of his county’s discussions with Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Afghanistan and Iran on pent-lateral rail way project as well as assured of his country’s continued cooperation with Afghanistan in various areas and preparation of China for active participation in Brussels conference on Afghanistan. In return, Foreign Minister called pent-lateral rail way project among China, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Afghanistan and Iran very important and express his happiness regarding the start of Chinese government discussions with other countries involved in this field.
In addition, FM Rabbani expressed appreciation for the valuable cooperation of China with Afghanistan in different spheres, especially cash assistance and provision of office equipment to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
