Ghazni’s Archeological Sites Need More Support

Kabul (BNA) The Minister for Information and Culture, Dr. Sayed Makhdoom Raheen has called for more support to preserve archeological sites in Ghazni.
According to BNA, in a joint meeting of the ministry of information and culture and German embassy here held the other day to review repairing the old walls of Ghazni city which is the key project of the center of Islamic civilization, Dr. Raheen in his address besides thanking Germany for its contribution called for more support in repairing the historic and archeological sites.
Speaking in the meeting, the German ambassador described Afghanistan is a rich country in term of having archeological sites, promising that Germany would continue to support Afghanistan and in rebuilding the archeological sites in Ghazni.
The old walls of Ghazni city at a length of some 2,000 km which has been damaged due to passage of centuries, needs preservation.
Abdullah Ahmadzai said in his speech on behalf of Ghazni governor in the meeting.
