Kabul (BNA) The High Board of National Revenues held a meeting with President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, Mohammad Ashraf Ghani on the chair, the Presidential Press Office said in a statement the other day.
The meeting was also attended by the vice-presidents, Attorney General, Chief of Army Staff and a number of other government authorities, said the statement.
The meeting discussed some key economic issues including reduction of national revenues and suspending of the international flights and key country’s trade ports during the COVID-19 lockdowns.
The country’s president after hearing reports about the national revenues from the Deputy Revenues of the Ministry of Finance, instructed the Ministry of Finance and the related governmental and non-governmental administrations and private sectors to remove all obstacles ahead of the revenues, the statement added.
The country’s president also instructed the Attorney General Office and the Ministry of Finance to seriously investigate into the corruption allegations, the statement quoted.
Besides appointing a probe team to investigation into the allegations, President Ghani reiterated that the government, based on its commitment to the international community would never have flexibility in this field, the statement concluded.
