Kabul (BNA) However, fourteen years have passed since the presence of the international forces in Afghanistan, but unfortunately, the country is still engulfed in insecurities.
Brig. Gen. Dawlat Waziri, the spokesperson for the ministry of defense said, the war against insurgents is led by the ministry in coordination with other security entities, and the reasons behind continued war in Afghanistan are absolutely clear.’ Because the enemies are trying to transfer their councils to Afghanistan to show the world they are capable enough to fight the Afghan security forces, Waziri further said. But fortunately, the enemies have faced harsh resistance of the Afghan security forces, as they have sustained heavy blows and couldn’t reach their vicious designs, Waziri added. It is a pleasure that today Afghanistan enjoys aerial and ground forces, particularly the special and quick reaction forces who jointly conduct anti-terrorism operations in coordination with NATO and U.S. forces throughout the country, Waziri went on to say.
The ministry of defense is making effort to conduct special operations in insecure provinces, Waziri continued, adding this year, the enemies have tried their best to insecure a number of provinces such as, Kunduz, Helmand, Takhar, Faryab, Sar-e-Pul, but their plans have been successfully foiled. If the regional intelligences don’t support the insurgents, they will soon face defeat, Waziri said, adding the international community, particularly the U.S. should impose pressure on those countries supporting the enemies to end war in Afghanistan.
Meanwhile, the national assembly asked for holding an international meeting to end war in Afghanistan. Mohammad Alam Ezadyar, a senator said, ‘war in Afghanistan has many reasons behind, but the most important one is the geostrategic position of Afghanistan among the regional countries, where has always been offended in the course of history.’ He stressed that Pakistan is behind continued instability and war in Afghanistan, as it has always made effort to spread out crisis and war in the country, therefore, war in Afghanistan would not stop unless Pakistan stops interfering.
Pointing to other internal factors of war, Ezadyar said existence of political differences narcotics and administrative corruption are paving the way for war in the country. Therefore, strengthening of the Afghan security forces is the only way that can diminish war in Afghanistan, Ezadyar went on to say. A strategy is needed to ensure security and stability in Afghanistan, as well as the international community should also impose pressure on those countries interfere the internal affairs, particularly Pakistan, he continued. Fortunately today, Afghanistan is at the focal point of the world countries, therefore, the government should not lose the opportunities and solve the problems through effective regional countries such as, India, Iran, Russia and China, he asserted. Expressing concern on intensification of war in a number of provinces, an MP, Salih Mohammad Saljouqi said, ‘recently, as tensions have fueled between the NUG leaders, it negatively affected the security situation, therefore, the leaders should put aside the differences and make effort to ensure the security which is one of the government priorities.’ The people of Afghanistan don’t trust the government commitments anymore, thus, the differences should be ended and the government should seriously step up in solving the ongoing challenges, he further said. The military and political experts believe that a regional meeting should be held to end war in Afghanistan.

Thus, a regional session should be held to solve Afghanistan problems, because the warring sides are being supported from abroad, Muradi further said, adding the country’s problems are serious and the world countries should decide on it. Another former military and military expert, Jamal Farahmand said, ‘terrorism is a worldwide phenomenon and Afghanistan has always been victimized by, however, the world countries should honestly cooperate with the country to fulfill the Afghans old dream which is restoring peace.’ This is while that Afghanistan is among the countries, where has always been offended by foreign countries in the course of history.
