Khalili Receives Ghor Governor, Lawmakers

Kabul (BNA) The governor of Ghor province in the company some legislators called on second vice president Mohammad Karim Khalili and briefed him about their problems.  According to presidential press office to BNA, in the meeting the governor expressed gratitude over assisting 6,000 tons wheat to the Ghor province provided by the national authority to deal with natural disaster, saying with distribution of the aid part of the problems will be solved. The delegation however emphasized for more support to overcome food shortage in the province.
Provincial governor in the meeting also proposed that Ghor province to be promoted from grade 3 province to grade 2, noting the given the status 2 to the province would help resolve the problems of Ghor inhabitants.
The delegation also demanded sending fact finding mission to Ghor to settle the problem of Municipality with the directorate of national radio television there.
In his talks with the delegation, the second vice president expressed his satisfaction over the solution of the part of people problems following sending wheat there and said authorities will take decision about sending more assistance to the people of Ghoor province.
However, he expressed his opposition to promoting the status of Ghoor province to grade 2, but insisted for more attention of the government to less developed provinces.
The vice president also said by sending fact finding mission the issue of dispute between Municipality and directorate of national radio television would be made clear.
