Last 12 Years Full of Achievements For Women: MoWA

Kabul (BNA) While the last twelve years have been full of challenges for women and improving of their living condition, but the authorities of the Ministry of Women Affairs said that in this period the Afghan women gained certain achievements and attained progress.
BNA correspondent reported, in a meeting organized with the participation of authorities of the MoWA and representatives of government bodies on the occasion of 8th of March in the MoWA, Minister of Women affairs Dr. Hoson Bano Ghazanfar called valuable the achievement of women in the fields of family, society, politics and economy, explained then as the government commitment in the direction of development of women situation added.
The government authorities support national programs for women and each one has tried to implement its relevant sectorial projects.
Touching the women achievements in the last 12 years the MoWA mentioned the new plans of that ministry which could be effective in the future for the improvement of women’s living conditions.
In this meeting the representatives of government bodies presented their reports on improvement of women’s living conditions. As the Ministry of Education called presence of 39% girls in schools as a big achievement while twelve years ago this percentage was zero. Similarly the representative of the MoHE explained their programs on vast presence of girls in higher education institutions as a great achievement.
