MoPH Reports 203 New COVID-19 Cases in Afghanistan

Kabul (BNA) Ministry of Public Health reported Sunday, that out of 1,307 samples, 203 cases have turned positive in the last 24 hours.

At least 139,112 people have so far been tested in the governmental labs, and there still are 6,927 known active cases in the country. According to the ministry, within 24 hours, 512 individuals have recovered from COVID-19, and 12 individuals are reported dead.

The new cases recorded in Kabul are 83, Daikundi 38, Kandahar 22, Balkh 15, Nangarhar 18, Paktia 12, Nimruz One and Paktika 14 provinces The total number of cases in Afghanistan is 44,706, total deaths are 1,687 and the total recoveries are recorded 35,934. COVID-19 global toll has increased to 58,158,254 and the dead are reported to more than 1,380,636 according to Johns Hopkins’ global dashboard.
