National Security Advisor Calls On Tajik President

Kabul (BNA) National security advisor Mohammad Hanif Atmar on called the other day on Tajik President, secretary of national Security Council, interior minister and national committee’s director in Dushanbe, capital city of Tajikistan.
National security advisor in the meeting with Tajik President Imam Ali Rahman offered good wishes and special messages of President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan to the Tajik President. In the meeting, national security advisor while speaking related to policy of Afghanistan government in counterterrorism, poppy cultivation and drug trafficking, securing joint border of the two countries and recent measures of Afghan security forces against terrorist groups stressed on common efforts of regional and neighboring countries in suppressing threats of terrorist groups. Afterwards, Tajikistan President Imam Ali Rahman by praising Afghanistan government for its policy and measures in counterterrorism declared that his country would support anti-terrorism effort of Afghanistan government.  Security official of Tajikistan in separate meetings with national security advisor of Afghanistan praised Afghan security and defense forces for their steps taken against terrorist groups, insisting on common counterterrorism efforts in Afghanistan and the region.
