New French Ambassador Calls On VP Danesh

Kabul (BNA) Second Vice-President, Sarwar Danesh met on Tuesday with the French Ambassador François Richier, discussing bilateral relations and cooperation, his office said in a statement.
VP Danesh praised bilateral relations in the past long years between the two countries and said cultural and scientific relations were at the focal point of the two country’s officials that encouraged France to reconstruct the building of Habibia High School and accept the first Afghan students group for higher education, the statement further said.
“Providing cooperation and support in legal and administrative fields were among the most important subjects, provided by France to Afghanistan,” the statement added.
The French laws have high influence into the two constitutions of the country, particularly those of the Zaher Shah and the new one, but faced some problems and complexity in the course of time that needs to be solved by cooperation from the French lawyers experts, said Danesh as quoted by the statement.
Afghanistan needs capacity building of the youths and having experts in the field of archeology and the French friendly country is hoped to provide cooperation to Afghanistan in this field inside the country and in France, the statement quoted.
The French ambassador pledged to do more for Afghanistan in different fields as it could provide water power dam in Kapisa province and digitalization of a library, one of the biggest regional libraries in Afghanistan and construction of a maternity hospital by the French government and people in the country, the statement added.
He said his country would spare no effort to cooperate with Afghanistan in other areas needed, the statement quoted.
