Sunday, April 20, 2014 Kabul (BNA) The first Permanent Teachers’ Training Center with the objective of capacity building and improving professionalism of the teachers of Teachers’ Training Center of the ministry for education was inaugurated by the education minister and the ambassador of Turkey to Afghanistan. In a ceremony held at the hall of education center, according to BNA, the Turkish ambassador in his speech said in the framework of the agreement of the governments of Afghanistan and Turkey in 2009, construction of the building has been materialized. He also added that the aim of building this education center was to facilitate the development of education and building the capacity of the teachers in Afghanistan. Speaking at the ceremony, the minister for education Farooq Wardak besides expressing gratitude over the contribution of Turkey in education sector pointed out that the three-story center at a cost of 6 million US dollars was constructed in two years by Turkish government. The newly built center, he added has four conference halls, 48 rooms for the accommodation of the teachers who come from provinces, library and supplementary rooms.
