President Ghani Bids Farewell First Groups of Afghan Pilgrims In HKIA

Kabul (BNA) President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani met yesterday with first group of Afghan pilgrims travelling to Saudi Arabia for performing hajj.
In a farewell ceremony held at Hamid Karzai International Airport (HKIA), minister of hajj and Islamic affairs Faiz Mohammad Osmani first said that based on instructions of the country’s President, further facilities have been provided to pilgrims comparing to previous years and the process has been made simple.
Afterwards, President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani congratulated performing hajj to all those registered to go Baitullah Sharif, adding that by blessing of Almighty Allah, you have been chosen to perform hajj.
“Islam is the religion of spiritual values, peace and brotherhood and you are going to the holy place where it is Qibla of the world’s all Muslims,” the country’s President said. President Ghani further asserted that Afghanistan ambassador to Saudi Arabia and all relevant government officials to be in your service, praising minister of hajj and the process’s all officials for providing better facilities to Afghan pilgrims.
