President Ghani Chairs Meeting on Digitalization of Government Systems

Kabul (BNA) A meeting was chaired by the President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan Mohammad Ashraf Ghani, here on Thursday at the presidential palace, on the digitalization of the government administration systems, aiming to strengthen the national programs of the government and its implementation, a statement from the presidential press office said.
The meeting which was also attended by Amrullah Saleh, First Vice President, Dr. Fazel Mahmood Fazly, General Director of the Administrative Office of the president, Mohammad Fahim Hashemi, acting minister of Communications and Information Technology, Kabir Isakhail, Legal Advisor to the President, Ahmad Javid Rasouli, Head of the National Statistics and Information Department, Ajmal Ahmadi, governor of De Afghanistan Bank, Mohammad Ismail Mikhail, director general of National Radio and Television, Omar Mansour Ansari, head of ATRA and a number of Kabul Polytechnic University, discussed digitalization of system of government departments, infrastructure, securing data and information, public awareness, capacity building of the non-governmental administration and the private sector, the statement added.
The meeting also discussed how the government can establish e-government through electronic and digital systems, and how effective government employees can use the Internet in their offices. Participants also discussed the creation of a digital climate by the Afghan government and joint work to achieve and strengthen the great goals, according to the statement.
