President Ghani Inaugurates Bamyan Airport

Kabul (BNA) President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani opened yesterday national unity martyred Abdul Ali Mazari in Bamyan.
The country’s President accompanied by second vice president Sarwar Danesh, chief executive second deputy Mohammad Muhaqiq, a number of cabinet members, general director of independent administration for civil aviation Capt. Hamid Zahir and a number of foreign countries’ ambassador to Kabul opened Martyred of national unity Abdul Ali Mazari.
Construction work on the airport started in 2012 and ended in November of 2014. The airport has been built with total cost of $ 15 million funded by Japan. The airport’s runway is 2200m long and 30m wide and has new terminal with complete equipment, firefighting building, security wall, deep well, parking lot and water supply system.
