Kabul (BNA) Chief Executive Dr. Abdullah Abdullah met yesterday with Khost provincial council members at Sapidar Palace.
In the meeting, chief of Khost provincial council Abdul Wali Wahidzai and other members of the council enumerated their province’s problems and challenges and asked for solution. Members of Khost provincial council said that currently Mosakhil, Sabari and Sperai districts were facing with security challenges, adding that there were foreign and domestic armed individuals in the respective districts and it was necessary that two ANA and two ANCOP battalions should be approved for Khost province.
Members of the council also asked for upgrading of Khost 200-bed hospital and construction of a 40-bed hospital in Zazimaidan district, saying that there were considerable health services in the province’s districts, asking for further attention in this regard. In the meeting, members of the council also asked for launching computer and English language courses in girls’ schools in the province, saying that ministries and other government institutions in capital were misbehaving with members of provincial council. After hearing demands and suggestions made by members of Khost provincial council, the country’s chief executive assured them of addressing all suggestions and talking with relevant officials in this regard, adding that members of provincial councils were real representatives of the people and better know their provinces’ problems and challenges.
