Senate Disabled, Martyrs’ Survivors Commission Summons In Charges In Next Session

Kabul (BNA) Numerous commissions of Mushrano Jirga held meetings yesterday and debated variety of issues included at the agenda.
The commission on international affairs under senator Nisar Ahmad Haris strongly condemned the attack on Kabul Serena Hotel which led to the martyrdom of Afghan journalist Sardar Ahmad, his wife and two children, emphasizing for ensuring security for presidential and provincial councils’ elections by the security organs. The commission also termed its last year’s performances as positive. In the meeting the commission for disabled and martyrs headed by Nafisa Sultani said that out of 4000 disabled persons in Kunar only 600 had been introduced by the ministry for social affairs, disabled and martyrs to Azizi bank to have monthly allowances; while the remaining have been waiting to receive their cards. It was decided in the meeting that the minister for social affairs, disabled and martyrs to explain the problem in one of the meetings of the commission.
In other part of the commission meeting, the problem of Afghan refugees in Iran was also discussed and it was decided that the ministry for foreign affairs, ministry for refugees and Afghanistan ambassador to Tehran should take necessary steps for the solution of refugees’ problems there. It was also decided that the minister for refugees along with political deputy to foreign ministry should respond to the questions of senators in the next meeting of the commission.
