Pul-e-Alam City (BNA) Taliban attack on Afghan security checkpoint thwarted in Baraki Barak district, eastern Logar province.
Mohammad Qasem Hazara police chief of Baraki Barak told BNA, dozens armed oppositions equipped with heavy and light weapons stormed on a security checkpoint in Qala Taqi region of Baraki Baraki district, which their attack repulsed by Afghan security forces.
Three Taliban militants were killed in the assault, Hazara added.
Some heavy and light weapons of the militants have been discovered and seized by Afghan security forces.
Meanwhile, district governor of Baraki Baraki added that the insurgents, who were killed in the attack, are Pakistani residents.
