Taliban Shadow Governor Among 50 Killed In Ghor

Cheghcheran (BNA): About 50 Taliban militants including a shadow governor for the western Ghor province had been killed in airstrikes carried out the other day, the Interior Ministry said in a statement.
“A total of 50 rebels including Mullah Ahmad Shah Ghori, the shadow governor of Taliban group for the western Ghor province, were killed after government forces conducted series of air sorties in Pashtunkot district of the neighboring Faryab province the other day,” said the statement. Huge quantity of arms and ammunitions of the militants were also destroyed in the air raids, the statement asserted. Taliban militants who are operational in parts of Faryab and the neighboring Ghor province are yet to make comments on the report.
