TAPI Project To Be Started In 2015

Kabul (BNA) Afghanistan will receive annually $400 million interest by implementation of Turkmenistan gas transited through Afghanistan to Pakistan and India. 
According to a spokesman for Ministry of Commerce and Industries Musafir Tofandi, the project is determined to be started in 2015 and by implementation of the project, transit problems of Afghanistan with Asian countries will be solved and Afghanistan will also receive some gas and money incomes.
“Afghanistan government will get annually $ 400 million incomes from the project and Turkmenistan will also sell some gas to Afghanistan in low price, “Tofandi said.
Spokesman for Ministry of Commerce and Industries added more than 50,000 Afghans would be deployed after the project started.
According to officials for Ministry of Mines and Petroleum, the pipeline for transition of gas lengthen 1735km and its 535km will be transited via Herat and Kandahar cities to Pakistan and then to India. 
The project will cost $8 billion which is to be provided by World Bank and Asian Bank.
