‘‘The Fate of Electoral Reforms To Be Determined Soon,’’ Danesh

Kabul (BNA) Second Vice President, Sarwar Danesh met UN Special Representative to Afghanistan, Tadamichi Yamamoto here in Kabul the other day, Bakhtar News Agency (BNA) reported. 
In the meeting, both sides exchanged views on recent political situation and electoral reforms, the report further said. Appreciating continued cooperation of Afghanistan’s international partners, particularly the UN from the government and people of Afghanistan, Danesh asserted that despite problems, the government of Afghanistan has attained important achievements over the last two years, the report added.
Acceleration of administrative reforms and governance, reforms in judicial sections, transparency in financial and procurement issues, establishment of good relations with the international community, strengthening of the Afghan security forces, electoral reforms, etc. were among the achievements, the report continued.
Likewise, UN Special Representative while appreciating the positive role of second vice president in political issues said that the international community and his related organization will make effort to neutrally solve the political tensions, the report added.  He also assured of the international community and the UN continued cooperation with the government and people of Afghanistan.
