Torrential Rains Leave Heavy Losses In Kunar

Kabul (BNA) Harsh rains and unrelenting frosts left high property losses in eastern province of Laghman, where many livestock had also been reported to be perished, the governor office said in a statement Sunday.
According to the statement, traffic faced problems on the Kabul-Jalalabad highway and tens of acres of cultivated lands were destroyed and at least 20 houses suffered heavy damage in several villages of Badpukh district – Shagolian, Garoch, Andarwar and Akhundzadagon, the statement said.
Traffic between Kabul and Laghman in the areas of Tangi and Kakus faced challenges, with Governor Fazlullah Mujaddedi asking the emergency committee and public welfare directorate to launch urgent survey and meet the traffic faced challenges along the key highway.
