Kabul (BNA) High-ranking delegation of Afghanistan Breshna Co. visits Uzbekistan, take new steps in Uzbekistan’s electricity generation sector.
During the visit, the Breshna delegation signed two agreements with Uzbekistan, including the purchase of electricity for 2021 and the construction of the Sarkhan-Pul-e-Khumri 500 kV wire project, according to BNA.
Under the agreement, Uzbekistan will export 2,200 million kilowatt hours of electricity to Afghanistan in 2021.
Also, according to the contract materials of the Sarkhan-Pul-e-Khumri 500 kV project, the practical work of this important project will begin in 2021, and with the completion of the 500 kV project, 4 billion kWh in the first and second years and about 6 billion kWh in the following years, Electricity will be exported to Afghanistan.
It is noteworthy that these contracts were signed by Safiullah Ahmadzai, Head of Commerce Department of Afghanistan Breshna Company and Jan Dad Iasa Qolof Head of National Electricity Networks of Uzbekistan.
