US Delegation Lauds Afghanistan’s Efforts In War On Terror

Kabul (BNA) The US Congressional delegation led by Nancy Pelosi, discussed some key issues with President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, Mohammad Ashraf Ghani, his office said the other day.
At the meeting attended by the country’s First Lady, National Security Adviser and a number of cabinet members and presidential advisers, both sides exchanged views about issues related to counterterrorism efforts, bilateral and regional cooperation and other issues, according to the agency. The US delegation lauded Afghanistan efforts in war on terror, fighting corruption, ensuring security, expansion of regional cooperation and reforms as well as resistance of the country’s security and defense forces, the statement further said.
Thanking the US’s positive points of views and President Obama’s recent decision and his lasting support to Afghanistan, President Ghani called the move of the U.S. too effective in war on terror and said his country was seeking strengthening of strategic cooperation between the two countries, considering the mid-term war on terror in the region.
