Kabul (BNA) First Vice President, Amrullah Saleh spoke via video conference with the Experts for Relief and Development of Afghanistan (ERADA) here yesterday, a statement said.
First Vice President Amrullah Saleh spoke about the establishment of the diaspora directorate, the government’s efforts to advance the peace process, economic development and the health sector, the first VP press office added.
VP Saleh, as quoted in the statement, also emphasized that the experiences and expertise of the diaspora should be used effectively to bring about reforms, coordination with the Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in advancing the inclusive peace process and the development of the health sector in the country. VP also said the diaspora’s policy needs more enrichment and work.
Dr. Wahidullah Majrooh, Acting Minister of Public Health, hinted to the opportunities and challenges in the public health sector and said that coordination between Afghan diaspora doctors and the health sector is a basic need for the government and people of Afghanistan.
Later, Farid Zarif, chairman of the executive board, Gholam Mohammad Ishaqzai and Dr. Naqibullah Safi, board members of ERADA spoke about their commitments to coordinating the diaspora with the government of Afghanistan and emphasized on more cooperation of the diaspora with government on health, economics and education sectors.
