Women Rights To Be Respected In Peace Talks: Women Activists

Kabul (BNA) Women rights activists have expressed concerns over the peace process with the armed oppositions, calling for the protection of women rights.
In a meeting held on Sunday by the women right activists in Kabul, the participants expressed concern over destroying the achievements with regard to women rights in the peace talks.
Speaking at the meeting, Suraya Subhrang described the current situation as fragile, saying with minor crisis the achievements on women rights will be lost.
Another speaker was Dr. Alima the head of Political participation of Women, who stressed that the peace process should be fair and women participation in the talks can raise the ray of hope for peace in future.
In her talks Adila Amrakhail from the human rights commission said that the women should give up pessimism.
She said if the Taliban join the government they should accept the constitution of the country.
Another women rights activists Shukria Haidary in her speech described women role as very important in society, saying no politician has the right to deal with women rights.
